Physique Update
The Turning Point
I just want to put this out there because, honestly, it feels like an achievement - one I canāt really keep to myself. My highest recorded weight was 98kg, and when I saw that number, I was shocked. I knew if I didnāt act soon, Iād hit 100+, and that idea alone was diabolical. I couldnāt let it happen.
At first, I tried some random diet plans and managed to drop to 96kg, but it didnāt feel like real progress. Thatās when I told myself, nah, time to lock in for real. That moment - 1 year and 4 months ago - was the real start of my fat-loss journey.
Where I Am Now
Fast forward to today, and Iāve hit my lowest recorded weight: 73.95kg.
Iām not shredded like those fitness influencers you see online. I still have fat, Iām not in peak aesthetic shape, but Iām in the best shape of my life compared to every past version of me. Thatās what truly matters to me - progress over perfection.
Iāve learned that the only person you should compare yourself to is the you from yesterday. Did you grow? Did you get better? If yes, then thatās a win.
The Journey
The journey wasnāt easy. In the beginning, it felt like a chore - tracking food, pushing myself to move more, and being mindful about what I ate. But somewhere along the way, I got the hang of it. Once it became a habit, it stopped feeling like punishment and started feeling like progress.
Now, Iād actually call it an interesting journey rather than a hard one. I might not drop much lower from here and will probably maintain around 80kg eventually, but hey, thoughts change š¤£.
What Iāve Learned
- Small, consistent actions beat occasional extremes.
- Donāt compare your Chapter 1 to someone elseās Chapter 10.
- Progress doesnāt have to be dramatic - just consistent.
- The goal isnāt to be perfect, itās to be better.
Final Thoughts
Thanks for reading. I know itās not very Deba-like to post something like this, and yeah, some might call it cringe or self-glazing, but honestly, idc. This journey means a lot to me, and I just wanted to put it out there š
If youāre on your own journey - donāt rush it. Donāt compare. Just keep showing up and do better than you did yesterday.
